Jones additionally emphasized that the gesture was entirely accidental, happening amid the excitement following the team’s final touchdown. “I simply put up the incorrect digit,” he remarked. “It was inadvertently done. I’m not kidding. If you want to call it accidental, you can. But it got corrected pretty quick.”
